Day 1 – What the hell do I talk about?

OK, first blog, need a killer topic….mmmmm…I’m so busy right now I can’t think….but someone at work brought up a site I use often, and since I’ll be adding a .NET resource section soon, I thought I’d start out by mentioning a couple of nice utility sites for .NET programmers.

The first one, connectionstrings.com, is crucial for those of us who are looking for that ‘magical connection string’ in ADO.NET. It breaks out database connection string by driver and database type, and then even each variation that can be used.

Next up (the one that came up today) is regexlib.com. It’s a relatively new site, which provides a quickly growing library of regular expressions. It’s the first site I hit when I know I need to go find a regular expression. They have a library of patterns that are submitted (and critiqued and updated) by site visitors, a really nice cheat sheet, and even an area to test out an expression on your inputs…..tops on my list for regex!

That’s all for today….hopefully this’ll become more interesting soon.
